One person dead after shooting on McPherson Street in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Police said one person is dead after a shooting on Saturday morning.

34-year-old Tony Brewer succumbed to his injuries, according to police. Officials said the incident is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police said they responded to the 700 block of McPherson Street around 7:20 a.m. Saturday in response to a shooting.

When they arrived, police said they found one person with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said no suspect information is available, but the investigation is still ongoing.
