MLK Tobacco & Vape Suffers Armed Robbery in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Monday night around 7:45 p.m., Winston-Salem Police were called to an armed robbery at MLK Tobacco & Vape on 570 N. MLK Jr. Drive. After arriving on scene, officers say they talked to the clerk, who said two subjects walked in before a Black male suspect pointed a gun. A Black female suspect then reportedly pepper sprayed the clerk before both suspects stole an unknown amount of tobacco products from behind the counter. Police say the suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Detectives say the clerk, identified as 22-year-old Saleh Dajenah, declined any medical attention.
